An experimental investigation about the heat transfer phenomenon in human teeth

چکیده:
This paper illustrates an experimentalinvestigation about heat transfer phenomenon in humanteeth. Common polymerization light sources are used asthe main heat source; Micro-Thermocouples of type Kare utilized to sense the temperature of tooth andenvironment; because of the high accuracy of thethermocouples, measurements are trusty and very closeto the real condition. The data is acquired via a serialcommunication between a portable PC (laptop) and thevisualization system. The experimental data are used tocalculate the effective overall thermal diffusivity of toothand therefore can be exploited to investigate the possibledamage in tooth during light polymerization process
