Parameter Identification of 7th Order Model of Synchronous Generator by EKF

چکیده:
Synchronous generators play a very importantrole in the stability of power systems. A valid model forsynchronous generators is essential for a reliable analysis ofstability and dynamic performance. Accurate generatormodelling allows for more precise calculations of powersystem control and stability limits. System identification instate space form, particularly when physical parameters of asystem are required, has certain advantages. In this paper,nonlinear parameter estimation of synchronous generatorsusing Extended Kalman Filter is addressed. The proposedmethod is applied to identify Seventh order model of asynchronous generator parameters. In this study, the rotorspeed, the instantaneous values of the stator current and theterminal voltage and the instantaneous value of theexcitation current are considered as the measurable outputsof the synchronous generator.
